Well, having approached women who were alone or in a group numerous times in the pre-smartphone era, I can tell you that each situation is different, but it's harder to give multiple women enough attention so that at least one doesn't get jealous or bored. But it's fun to talk to a group of women and sometimes they all have partners except for one and the ones with partners encourage the one who's single to go on a date with you.

The exception is mostly going to be if a top 2% guy approaches a girl. That guy won't care who else is there, because he's so attractive that he could get any of the women in the group, usually even the taken ones. The downside is that these guys are almost always interested in casual sex but not a relationship. They are used to women throwing themselves at him and cheating on their boyfriends and husbands with him, so they don't respect women at all, and they don't need to respect them to be successful with them.
Almost any other guy knows that most women want a 2% guy, and he isn't one, so getting a solo woman to consider a date or even a social media connection is difficult, but if her friends are there, it will be impossible. Her friends absolutely do not want her to be in a relationship, especially if they are single, and they will feed her every reason that he's a loser because he's not a 2% guy. Any guy who has asked out a girl around her friends has learned this painful lesson - unless he's a celebrity or just exceedingly handsome and tall, her friends are going to pressure her to get rid of him, and might even humiliate him themselves.
So, if you want a guy to approach you in public, and your friends are around, you need to separate yourself from them AS WELL AS make your interest in him known. And that means doing more than giving him a side eye.
Women have created an environment where most men always lose, and then wonder why men no longer have any interest in playing the game. When every rule is against him, he won't participate, so you need to change the situation to one where there is a reasonable chance of success for men. If you don't, you will be alone. It's really that simple.11 Reply- 1 y
And that's the way the cookie crumbles Bruce Almighty indeed lol 🍪🍪
1 yThat depends on the guy…. But I will tell you if you don’t want to limit your options approach. Most men are just out minding their own business and if you wait around the type of men who approach you may not be the type you even want.
Most men who have options as well as are looking for something serious aren’t on dating apps and aren’t just approaching random strangers. Some might if they just feel you’re meant to be but most aren’t. They have a lot of options and get a lot of female attention sometimes women throwing themselves at them.
Most men are minding their business going about their day same for most women.
20 Reply4K opinions shared on Dating topic. I don't know why a guy would lack confidence to come up to a woman and speak with her. Honestly, what's the worst that can happen? She asks you to leave? So what?
I don't know any women who go to a place alone like sad sacks who will then meet a quality guy. A woman who is smiling and enjoying herself with her friends is clearly more attractive than a woman who is sitting around on her own -- doing what? Staring into space or the bottom of her glass? It's just not a girly thing to do... Perhaps looking at nonsense on her phone till Prince Charming Arrives? Unlikely that seems attractive to a guy.
I find more and more that cellphones and screen time are like a relationship repellant...05 Reply- 1 y
Because women today tend to be rude and dismissive. Look at how many women on this site complain about men approaching them and saying they just want to be left alone. If women are too stubborn to approach men then men should have to approach women.
- 1 y
@Steve-the-lion To be fair, a lot of women have met their share of rude guys, which is what leads to this kind of thing. A lot of women have met bad guys and aren't at a place to meet a guy (especially if they're there alone or after work etc.). The world today is super messed up and it's not always safe for a woman to just randomly accept a guy...
I'm not justifying the behavior, however it's not completely out of the blue from the woman's perspective either.
As far as approaching men... it's not a matter of being too stubborn, but it's nice when a guy has the finesse to approach a woman nicely. But the guy should be able to pick out the lady who seems open and receptive to being approached as opposed to the angry/aggressive woman who exhibits closed body language and is not open to meeting anyone. - 1 y
The problem is you women give out mixed messages. Women will say that men need to do the approaching, but on the other hand a lot of women say they don't want to be approached. And most women today look unapproachable. Many of them are rude and arrogant. And I personally don't think young women today are even worth the hassle. They are so stuck up, shallow and narcissistic. Not to mention extremely picky. Good luck to the guys who find approaching women easy, but for most men it has become a shit storm.
- 1 y
@Steve-the-lion When a guy starts a phrase with "YOU WOMEN" as if we all do the same thing... I know there's no logical discussion to be had. GN. Have fun staying alone.
- 1 y
Hate to tell you the fact is, that if the guy is good looking then the woman responds positively. If he’s just average looking and doesn’t make a lot of money he’s a creep. Women are actually the rude ones. This is why we don’t approach anymore, we get called creep or sex offenders. It’s the feminism groups that encourage them to treat guys like crap
I don’t know how it seems to guys, but I have been approached in both situations but it seems more likely if I am alone. If anybody ever wonders “why does she show up late for group events” do you get it now? lol

1 yI don't care how many women there are. I inserted my self into a group of 12 having a birthday celebration for one of them last Friday night. Well to tell the truth, I was dragged in by a few of them. I ended up being the group photographer since I wasn't actually part of the friend group and didn't to be in or belong in the pics.
It would be the same with 1, 2, 3, or 5 women. If I want to approach or respond to their approaches, I will. If I'm not interested or not in the mood, I won't. Politely and gently but, I'll just keep my distance or end the conversation at some convenient point.
The number of women has no affect on my confidence. The appeal of the women (physical and personality) is all that matters. If they don't want to be bothered, I'll just excuse myself and with them a good evening. Again, no blow to my confidence. they can say no without any obligation to explain themselves to a stranger who's intruding on their night out.

OK, Mr. confident I like it I like it
Anonymous(45 Plus)1 yI think most men would prefer if she was alone for a number of reasons. For one as a man it’s hard enough for a lot of us, especially in the beginning of learning the game, to approach women. Most women have never done that, nor will they ever do they don’t understand what it all takes to do such a thing. So imagine how nerve wrecking it can be just approaching one girl. You know who’s showing to make a judgement on your approach as to whether she continues to talk to you or not. Now imagine her w her 2 other friends. Now you have 3 women judging you. Imagine her rejecting him. Now he’s not only embarrassed by her but by her 2 friends as well. Also she may like him a little but some friends, especially w females try to keep their friends away from men. Especially if she’s someone who doesn’t get much attention herself. Let’s say for example the fat chick or the girl who doesn’t have the cutest face. They cock block as men would say.

The answer, while welcomed, that opening sentence may make some women think twice - it implies shady vibes or "being cornered like" lol 😆 crikey shock 😲😦
- 1 y
@Anonymous,
Man dude you're looking at this all wrong. NO, 3 women is not harder than 1 woman. 3 women means 3 chances to make a connection and get a conversation going. Yes, there would be 3 women judging you. Who cares? That's 3 chances that you connect with someone.
Who cares if they don't want to chat. Excuse your intrusion and wish them a good evening. And don't single out one of them then get a butthurt that it's one of her friends that wants to have fun. It's not a win / lose situation. Don't go in with expectations. Uncertainty can be fun. Just break the ice, engage with all 3 or 5 or whatever, and have fun with it. Don't overstay your welcome. Leave them wanting more, not less of you. Do it to have fun killing time, not to "score".
Opinion Owner1 y@OneViewpoint is that how you met your wife?
- 1 y
Ex wife. Yes but she was out with one friend. It was only 2 of them.
Opinion Owner1 y@OneViewpoint ok. I met my wife when she was by herself. Still together going on 17 years.
The thought of approaching a group of ladies, whether it's one or two, has my heart racing and my pants tightening. The more, the merrier, am I right? I mean, just the idea of having a harem of beauties, each vying for my attention, sends shivers down my spine. As I start jacking off, I can't help but visualize myself sauntering up to them. With each stroke, my imagination runs wild, envisioning a tangled web of limbs, all seeking the release only I can provide. My coom would rain down upon them, a testament to my prowess and their shared longing.

@off_jack tightening because of Big Jack getting anxious downstairs? Lol 😂
1 yMm…it has always been when I am alone. Only a few times when I am with friends.
The last time a guy approached me was last week. He asked for my socials, since I said I was traveling out of the country. He was very confident. They all are, when we girls are alone. If a girl is with like 3+ friends, they are not so confident. That is what I have noticed, anyways.
21 ReplyWell reason being is he has more girls to win over at once even if you're the object of his desire. If one girl ain't feeling it she will shut it down or drag her friends away
1 yIts not about confidence. If you are in a group of women most guys even if they are confident won't bother talking to you. You got people around you, besides most men learned that a group of women is the same as a bunch of judges, men are far better to avoid that if they want to have success and not make themself a laughinstock for her friends or be made fun off.
10 Reply2.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. It is relatively rare for women to be alone at a bar or cafe. Obviously we do triage as to if the women has the cops on speed dial.
Say if there were three girls I might be offput if just one of them seems unfriendly. If there were a large number then it ceases to be a factor.
00 ReplyA buddy of mine is a total social butterfly. He's taken but has seemingly no problem going up to groups of girls, crack a joke and just start shooting the breeze with everyone. Having that natural ability is definitely a big plus and far from the norm. Being 6'3 with blonde hair and blue eyes doesn't hurt either. lol

1 yI've never approached a girl who's alone lol
If I was a girl I'd be significantly more comfortable being approached when my friends are around as compared to when I'm alone.
Also as a guy, I'd rather approach a girl who's friends are around because 1) it makes it significantly easier to get into her friendgroup (which helps me know who she is) and 2) if she's dating her friends will almost certainly say so (if she doesn't)00 Reply- 1.8K opinions shared on Dating topic.
1 yIt depends on the guy but I've been approached more often alone than when I was with friends. And when it was with friends, the guy was usually oozing confidence or arrogance.
20 Reply 1.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. Alone is far better , in a group extremely difficult , this being pretty obvious as often the others will try to influence the options and make the decision , their input in this situation is not required , and is virtually always negative.
