Why does society have such a big problem with women who don't want to get married?

Do they? I don't think so. But there is an assumption that women DO WANT to get married and make babies... PARTIALLY because if you look at female physiology, nearly 50% of our body is designed to make, hold and feed a baby. Even the areas in which our bodies are strongest (from our glutes down) is a defining point of who we are as living creatures. However our strongest organ is still our brain, with our hearts coming in a close second. Why?

The female brain is wired to be at once practical and creative, geared towards networking, multitasking and intuitive thought that hit levels guys don't "get" bc they're more linear "point A to point B"/"end game" thinkers. We're able to adjust our modes of thought to suit whomever we're talking to a lot more quickly than guys, which is why we're more prevalently employed as teachers, translators, transcribers, etc.

Long long long story short, because we're naturally equipped with all the faculties needed to raise a family, foster a community, etc. folks figure that's OF COURSE what we'd like to do. And while that's true for SOME of us, it's not true for all women.

You'd be surprised by how quickly a man's mind and actions will change with marriage announced that it's off the table or not even a requirement.

Now yeah, we have those religious types that's going to hate you for not doing the thing... but damn, we men have to deal with women just like that too. If you could just watch a 30 minute video of me getting raked over the coals by women that are demanding I be theirs and only theirs (even when they're cheating on a guy) it might start to sound like more of a man issue that just women who don't want to get married.

Honestly... I think the institution of a marriage is a joke. Like, marriage happens naturally, but we've built all these legal systems around it and some are forceful and basically push agendas that don't happen naturally. I look at my marriage for instance... we basically had to because she's in the military and could get sent overseas and without the marriage part... I'm not doing some LDR bullshit like these young fuckers. Still though it was forced outside of us or face the consequences of not doing it. Again... for some reason the legal systems in place force it as a requirement to reap certain benefits. Some of those benefits are innocent like getting to be together and others are sort of insidious like ascertaining wealth from the other. ... which is a subject I don't want to talk about right now. That subject will make me look like a mean woman-hating son of a bitch.

Most people don’t have a issue with anyone who choose to stay single most people simply don’t care what you do with your life.

The people most people have a issue with are people who are constantly bitching about the opposite sex, then saying they don’t want to get married, then being angry that the kind of people they want to get married to don’t pick them and the people they don’t want are the ones who won’t leave them alone.

Now some people are just judgmental and judge others to feel better about themselves. If you’re happy being single great people who are happy being single or happy in a relationship don’t typically go out of their own way to bash another person. People who are unhappy tend to do that and then when they don’t put up with their bullshit they act like their the problem.

Id the the responsibility of both parents but, in the real world, women spend more time with the children in those formative years.

women cannot teach kids why having a father is important. kids without fathers can't understand the influence a father will have in their lives cuz they never had one.

And women see financial support as "man's work." Yes, traditional gender roles (which are not followed by everyone) result in women spending more time with the children and forming closer bonds than men have with their children.

I don't have a problem with it. I understand. It's a valid choice. But "society" wants people to fall neatly into a limited set of boxes created to keep things neat and orderly. If you decide that box doesn't fit you, well, you're a very disturbing problem. If you do it maybe all women will start doing it... then where would we all be? Even though that's never gonna happen.

Marriage was "invented" as the ONLY way for women to gain property rights and assets. By inheritance from a man. That's no longer true.

Men gained loyalty and compliance from a wife because she had no other viable economic option than to wait it out with her husband. For better or worse or horrible.

Walking away from that is not so surprising for a woman with options today. But 90% of people do not handle change well. So they're gonna look at you like a 3 headed frog. Ignore them.

Yes some people will render judgement in passing and it’s not right but even they don’t care about so much not even 2 minutes after walking away
