It just seems like that's the way it is in modern dating thanks to dating apps and social media. Girls are flooded with matches and messages when they sign up for a dating app and it is pretty common for her to have over 100 matches in less than 24 hours after creating her profile. They also get a ton of DM's from guys via social media too. For a guy on the other hand, it is common for him to only get around 10-20 matches in less than 24 hours after signing up for a dating app and most of the girls that match with him either don't respond or their convo won't go far before it fizzles out. Guys have said it can take over a month just to get one first date from a dating app and most of the time there is no second date because the girls have such a big selection of guys they're talking to. Guys also never get DM's from girls on social media obviously and when they try to DM a girl, she's getting so many other messages from guys alongside his that he never gets a response. All of this considered, it seems like it has never been easier for a girl to meet a guy in the modern dating era, but it is harder than ever for a guy to meet a girl. Agree or disagree?

Yes, it’s true that as a woman you get messages and likes the second your account is live but all of those are spammers. Guys that has been on the dating site for years and send the same copy paste to everyone without even looking at there profile. And they do this year after year. If you leave the dating site for a while or even years, if you return those same guys are there with the same pictures and the same copy paste spam. And actually chatting to them doesn’t lead anywhere (I’ve tried for curiosity).

Yes, you also get visits, likes, matches and messages from other guys but most of the time the conversation leads nowhere. They can’t or won’t hold the conversation even if you try to keep it going. They don’t ask any questions back.

Lots of guys get sexual right away, so that’s an immediate no.

Many guys want to book a date in like the second message and no, women don’t want to meet a complete stranger they know nothing about and haven’t even talked to online to see if we’d be compatible or of there’s any interest.

Lots if guys won’t message first and if you do they don’t respond or they respond but don’t contribute to the conversation. They reply with one word or no wuestions back. You’d think they aren’t interested at all but if you leave the conversation after a day or three they’ll message and ask why you stopped talking to them.

Many guys just like every female profile without looking at them and then look when they match with someone. If they aren’t interested they delete the match or don’t message/reply. So lots of marches and likes doesn’t mean that all those men are interested.

Generally the quality of guys on dating sites aren’t great either. Of course there are good ones on there too, but too many are actually already in relationships, cheaters, just interested in sex but pretends to want something serious, they lie, manipulate, turns out to be abusive, narcissists, bitter and aggressive etc.

If you politely reply to a guy that you aren’t interested a lot of times they get angry and will send you a long aggrsssive rant about what a piece of entitled shit you are and how women are this and that for not wanting him or giving him a chance or they take your polite no as a ”try to convince me to give you a chance” and they start begging you for a chance. So no responding to guys you aren’t interested in, or even blockimg them right away, is to avoid all this.

Some has watched too many pick up artists or incel/alpha content on youtube. They try to play games, negging and try to portrait themselves as alpha and can be really cringe or weird sometimes. Like I was talking to a guy who after some chatting asked for more pictures. I sent him some but he said he wanted some of my belly or body. I told him no, I don’t do that and he started saying things likd ”I’m a very dominant man, not just sexually but like as my personality”, ”I’m am alpha and my woman needs to be submissive to me and let me take the lead”, ”You need to trust me, I’m dominant and all I need from you is just trust and that you obey”, ”so sending those pictures prove that you do as I say and obey, because I’m do dominant I can’t be with a woman who won’t sibmit amd do as I say”, ”you can trust me, I’d never show those pictures to anyone and I don’t want just sex I want to get married and all that but the woman I datd have to let me be the man in the relationship and I like you so far so please just send them”, ”I have a lot of women interested in me but unfortunately I’m not interested in most of them, but I really like you and if you just start doing as I say I’d like to take you out on a date”. Yeah. . . No. I told him I wasn’t interested anymore and wished him luck and then he sent me lots of more messages like the ones above and I didn’t reply. The next day and randomly the coming weeks he’d message me ”hi” or ”hi how are you?”. Having weird or red flag interactions like this isn’t even unusual. Oftwn it starts out normal and then after a few minutes or dven days or weeks it turns weird or creepy (that’s also why we don’t want to go on a date immediately, we don’t want to end up meeting guys like this for irl dates).

Many guys are delusional in that they will just contact much younger women. You get men who are 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 years older than you messaging. I’ve had men in their 70s message. They say age is just a number, but that only applies to them. When it comes to women age isn’t just s number in their opinion and if you call them out on this they get defensive and aggressive. For example when I was 21 or something I had a 37 year old man who stated in his profile that he sas done partying and playing around and wanted to settle down and have kids soon. His age range for women he wanted was 18-25. I didn’t reply and he messaged and asked if the reason I didn’t reply was his age and I said yes that was one of the reasons and then he immediately started sending long paragraphs of how age doesn’t matter and is just a number and how women are too picky and uptight and this and that. When I asked if age doesn’t matter then why is he only looking for women 18-25 then he got even more pasaive aggressive and said because women his age have too much bagage, aren’t happy and carefred anymore and their bodies aren’t as tight and nice. So I said so age does matter then and he lost his shit and got so upset. I just remember he sent a few long messages about how horrible and entitled women are and how childish I am and that he’s a great guy who had people tell him he looks younger and he feels youthful and I don’t even remember all if it. This guy was still there and even more bitter a few years later when I briefly returned to the site.

All in all, yes many women get lots of matches/likes/messages but 99% don’t lead anywhere and fall into one of the categories above or just aren’t your type/what you’re looking for at all.

And not all women are flooded with likes or messages. There are some that don’t get shown lots of interest.

I think we break even. The number of guys who are "serious" (and not just looking for a night of fun) is about equal to the number of gals who are "serious". Unfortunately, there's all of humanity to wade through before you find one another, which is fucking annoying, so some of us just detach ourselves from the whole scene and call it a day.

It definitely is. I know women who have guys regularly reach out to them and they pick which ones to consider dating or have as a fling. Though as a guy unless you go out of your way to find a woman you won't because unlike how it is for women it is very rare for a woman to initiate the first interaction, he'll even when they do it would probably go over our heads because again it's rare.
