Why did my parents have to ruin everything with my date?

So I’ve been talking to this guy for a month and I introduced him to my parents and my dad especially want to talk to him before we went out.
Then after my mom and I talk, my date said he doesn’t think things will work out with him and I because he found out I have autism and he doesn’t want to deal with an autistic adult. He’s afraid I’m going to throw temper tantrums and be violent. He also said good luck finding someone and suggested that I date autistic men or men with disabilities. Walked off.
I told off my dad like, “What did you tell him? That I have autism?”

He said he had to let him know because that’s what I have and told him about some things I do and that my brain is wired different but I’m just like any other person.

I told him that he ruined things with my date and I became he told him I’m autistic and special. He said be wasn’t and him walking away because I’m autistic says it all, he isn’t the right one. Them dad said, “Why don’t you give your guy friend a chance. He OBVIOUSLY likes you and he’s autistic so both of us can relate. I honestly prefer you to date men similar to you or will accept my for who I am. You should have told him so you should really be blaming yourself for not being honest with him.” I don’t want to date my guy friend. He’s had a crush on me since 6th grade and he STILL has a crush on me.
This guy was cute, toned, beautiful man and he just walked out because of my autism. He was a sweet heart. Autism ruined my life!

Your father probably acted out of best interests for you BUT it's not his responsibility. Autism isn't a disease or any risk to anyone and it would be up to the date to decide whether your behaviour was out of kilter with his preferences.

Pops was cruelly out of order in "telling on you" to him to put him off.

So what the hell am I supposed to do? No man wants to go out with me! I can’t believe my dad told him that I’m autistic! I didn’t want to tell him because I didn’t want him to treat me differently. He was a sweet guy until that time. It’s my dads fault for telling him I’m special needs (autistic, hate that term).
