My boyfriend of two years has called me other girls names multiple times. What should I do?

The names he has called me are Ava, Avery, and Amanda. All of those are not my name. He has also become very distant lately and usually never answers my text or leaves me on read for days.

He used to have a cute nickname for me, but he’s been calling me babe for a few months now instead of the nickname he gave me. Am I overthinking this situation or is he bored of me?

He also brings up his ex girlfriend all the time and I’m starting to think that he is not over her.

Wow. I have never heard of somebody saying MULTIPLE wrong names during sex with their partner. That's pretty messed up.

I guess you're asking if he's cheating. Well, it does certainly seem like he might be. This is almost unbelievable.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years and he has been distant for about 5-6 months. He only ever wants to hang out if he can bring his other friends and he has called me his ex girlfriends name a few times.

Oh wow... I really wasn't expecting this to be a very long relationship. This is not something you can allow to continue. You need to end this relationship. Nobody should put up with being in a relationship like this. This relationship is already over, you just haven't realized it yet.

I don't know if he's cheating or not, but that's not even something you need to investigate further. That's because this needs to end, even if he isn't cheating.

Usually, any guy who called their girlfriend by their ex's name would be in deep shit for it. It's something that his girlfriend would be extremely upset about. It might imply that he isn't over her, but the more worrying and more likely case is that he's seeing her again. The reason I'm saying that is, you don't accidentally call your girlfriend your ex's name... a year or something into your relationship. Why is she on his mind so much? You can't know.

The point is; this wrong name thing would be a HUGE problem a guy has to apologize for profusely (as he should). But it would be bad. Really bad. Bad enough he would NEVER make that mistake again. He would make sure of it. He would be super-clear that his girlfriend wasn't going to tolerate that bullshit a second time.

That's why its so incredible that this has happened that many times to you. It means he didn't think it was important enough to not do again. That's not only extremely disrespectful towards you. It also shows he isn't concerned with how hurt you might be. Not enough to pay more attention.

Frankly though, the way more significant problem making this relationship unsalvageable, is that he's being distant. Often one partner will start getting more distant at the end of a relationship. It's just nobody is gonna put up with that continuing for more than a week or two. Its heartbreaking that you've endured it for 5-6 months. That should never have happened.

It sounds like he should have broken up with you 6 months ago. He may have been too afraid to (inexcusable, but not uncommon). It's actually really hard to break up with someone, even when your heart isn't in the relationship anymore, and you want it to end. But, if the distanced person doesn't have the balls to break up; the other person will not put up with being treated like shit (in terms of a boyfriend acting like a boyfriend. Like he had be before).

You need to realize that you don't deserve to be treated this way in a relationship. You deserve a boyfriend who wants to spend time with you, and share his life with you. You should feel like you are his first choice to spend time with. That's generally the role and place of any girlfriend. He is not even wanting to spend time with you alone. He has been a terrible boyfriend for at least the last 6 months.

You don't deserve to be with somebody who is a terrible boyfriend right? If you're not sure... I'll tell you that, you deserve better. Since this guy is clearly not concerned with being the kind of boyfriend you deserve... your pride should not allow you to continue being treated poorly. No matter how much you might like him, or how much you wish things could just be good again, this relationship is already over. It has been for 6 months. You were just hanging onto it way way longer than your self-worth should allow.

You need to end this, so you can move on, and find someone who does treat you the way you deserve to be if you become his girlfriend.

He isn't treating you anywhere close to the way any boyfriend should. You need to only accept continuing in ANY relationship for as long as the guy is treating you properly, and you continue to want to be with him. If he stops treating you properly. Talk to him (unless it's something major, like a guy hitting you). If things don't change... right away... that's not a guy to stay with. You need to respect yourself more than to continue in such a relationship.

This one needs to be officially ended (by you. ASAP) without a doubt. Then you're free to move on, and can hurt properly. You can mourn the loss of a relationship that (I'm sure) must be extremely emotionally hurtful for you to continue in being treated the way he's treating you. Sorry.

When your dating someone. You do not for get there name but 3 times wow. And baby or babe I can see.. well your going to have to play it out pay attention to his eyes as he's speaking to you.. and always look deep in to his eyes because they will tell you everything if you know how to read them

But seriously though, if he is that adamant in ignoring you, maybe consider either being super annoying and tell him your worries and ask him to his face. Or the other drastic option, dumping him I guess?
