Going out with shy guy, is he interested in me?

I went to skiing date with super shy guy (he invited me).
We are at different levels (I’m intermediate and he is expert), but he was skiing with my pace, often looked behind to make sure if I’m OK.

He doesn’t really talk with the girls (and he ignores texts from the girls) and really quiet, but he was so talkative asking a lot of questions to me, smiled a lot (even every time I did small gestures), and looking into my eyes deeply.

At the end of the date, I told him ‘hope we can hang out again’ then he said ‘yeah’.

I’m not sure if he means no… What do you think?

I would be inclined to think that he does indeed want to hang out again. He's just to shy to realize that he didn't take-up the lead (that you did a perfect job of setting up).

In most cases, I would agree, that sounds rather uncommitted to the idea of hanging out again. However, if he asked you out, and he's shy... he could EASILY just be so excited that you asked for a second date, he didn't think things through.

I'm basing that soley on the fact that it sounds like you had a great date. It also sounds like he was showing you clear signs of his continued interest (especially compared to how he acts with other girls).

I can't imagine this guy didn't want that second date you suggested.

If I were you, I would take him at his word: "Yeah"... and go ahead and try to nail down specifics. If he's sketchy about that, then I guess maybe he meant no. I can't see how he would, if the date went the way you describe. I'd assume he did mean yes.

He might just get good vibes from you that makes him feel comfortable talking to you and being around you. One super power of shy/introverted people is that they tend to have good observational skills with other people. They pay attention to body language, behaviors, environments, etc. I too am like this but I am an ambivert, which means I possess both intro and extroverted characteristics. So you might've thought he was looking into your eyes deeply like he was into you, when it could've been that he was maybe trying to read you or he was wondering what you're about.

I think you should just give it more time and interaction to see how he is. Women often overdiagnose a guy's words/actions with them as meaning he's interested when he might not be. Let's just see what happens with time.

Typically even shy guys will respond to that. Not a great sign of he didn't follow up on that message.
