National Astronaut's Day. The 64th anniversary of the day that Alan Shepard became the first American in space.

The dates holds no other personal significance for me.

It's someone's Birthday I know, so I looked for any interesting facts. It's International Midwifes Day, and a Holiday in some countries, and start of celebrations for V. E. Day.

It's surprising how quickly puppies and kittens can become independent, and people don't realise they go through the stages same as us except so much quicker.
