Yes they do and much more than we think. It happened to me once when I was 19 and in a relationship with a guy who was a Paramedic with a fire dept. A few months into this relationship he lets me know he accepted a new position with a department in Illinois, convincing me to move with him. I did and soon after arriving caught him in our bed with a female I was sure I knew from somewhere. It finally clicked, she had been of the same dept in Florida and they had been sleeping together almost the whole time he was with me. I very quickly was back in Florida luckily getting my old job back.

Well it happens all the time especially with people who are in relationships or worse married they keep those relations as secret as they can keep them. But that’s not always the case sometimes people just don’t want anyone to know especially if it’s casual too much drama. That as well as people trying to see if they will even work before spewing it to the world. Which I can’t blame them.

I think couples who are ashamed of one another though maybe should consider if they should be together or not.

Of course they do. It's easy to forget, but all you have to do to keep something secret these days is not openly conduct it through your phone.
