Can girls make the first move on guys?

Question

There’s this one guy I think is so cute, but I’m worried he’ll think I’m weird if I make the first move and tell him I want to get to know him more. He’s a goalie, and I don’t think he talks to many other girls but I’m not sure and I don’t want to just be another one of his chicks, I want something kinda serious.

He’s also around 2 years younger than me, so I’m not sure if he’ll think that’s weird or not. I planned on messaging him and telling him I’m interested and that I don’t usually message guys and tell them I’m interested, so he won’t think I’m just being a slut or anything, but will he think I’m weird for making the first move? ALSO SOMEBODY let me know if this is a sign we’ve made eye contact multiple times.

Girls who refuse to make the first move just simply limit their options. When it’s only the men you don’t want making moves and the men you do never do that’s where it’s time to put on your big girl pants and just approach. Nobody’s entitled to have someone walk up and ask you on a date people who have that sense of entitlement the times someone they genuinely want approaches them they end up seeing their true colors and leave.

As far as being younger all that matters is if you’re both happy. As long as he’s not underage or a family member nothing funky like that it’s fine. Is it a risk? Yeah he could reject you. Then what happens? You have closure for one thing and number two you won’t be wasting your time on someone whose never going to approach you. You won’t be heartbroken when he finds someone because you would have been able to grieve it and move on.

Happens a lot… Someone waits around until someone looses interest… People can easily move on don’t assume you’re the only female whose wanting his attention. Because likely you’re not. Someone else could catch his eye if interested. Others waste months even years on someone who was never really into them.

You could. But depends on what kind of man you want. Here’s why I say this. Sure he could just be clueless as far as you liking him. But too he may be the type who’s afraid to take the initiative. Meaning ok you express your interest, but then you also end up being the one to make the first move to go for a kiss. Then you plan a date, etc, etc. A lot of women find that unattractive if she’s having to be the man in the relationship. Again maybe he’s just clueless. Maybe he will establish that role in the relationship if you two start dating.

You can make the first move but he's the male equivalent of a blond Barbie doll kind of girl that men all chase after. If you like them pretty you're opening yourself up to getting played. Nothing will ever happen if you don't show clear interest in him, in one way or another. Some guys are shy. Some guys may think you're not interested, even if you are and even if you think you're sending obvious hints. Hints are not always clear or interpreted the way they were meant to.

In any case, it's always better to make it clear than to be vague about it. If you are interested in him, tell him when you'll get an opportunity. Women can make the first move. She can pay for a date or ask for a guy's phone number. She can go out of her way to send him a text or DM. She can go up to him at the bar and ask him if he's new in town.

Ladies, let's get one thing straight — it's totally okay to go after what you want. But, if a guy tells you he's not comfortable with you making the first move, it's important to respect that and not push the issue. Instead, try a more subtle approach or wait for him to make the hint.

Go for it, you just being a woman gives you a far bigger success rate than any due since dudes are for the most easier to approach, unless he's taken I'd say you have a success rate of at least 65% 70%, as you get to know him you can eventually figure out if he speaks to others, either ways you gotta go through the "get to know you phase.
