They are maintaining the relationship while he is paying for everything while pursuing unattached high value men and getting good sex wherever they can.

A high valued person. It's usually busy creating a business. Or creating something to be financially stable and doesn't put the time in the effort. And that he should be putting in with his relationship so. Everybody needs or has needs..

Not everybody is compatible is the simplest way I can put it. At some point, even if a guy does everything right, if he's with the wrong woman it will never work.

I suspect a lot of those guys you're thinking of picked women quickly based on looks/excitement and didn't put a lot of energy into checking for character/trustworthiness and other stuff. Now, yes, it's also possible for a couple to seem to be working out fine for 20-30 years and then the wife cheats/leaves. That's due to the modern idea that life is all about yourself and being selfish is 'good'. Most people didn't think that way in the old days. They realized teamwork is important and you have to put some work in to make a relationship work.

I would say the data states that all cheaters cheat because the new partner makes them feel special in some way. It has very little to do with the partner except for the unrealized emotional need they aren't getting. Plus economics have no real effect on the liellyhood of cheating rich or poor. Male or female.

Relatively speaking they don't. Studies show that the men that get cheated on the most are the ones who attempt to committ to one woman only. If a man is truly high value he is going to have a ton of other women at his disposal, so getting "cheated" on isn't something he would even tolerate. Great example is Tom Brady he replaced a super model with a younger hotter version.
