What’s the honest reason so many men cheat?

I used to be blissfully ignorant to this fact. I thought it was much more rare than it actually is. After my last relationship and hearing about cheating in general, it’s clearly a common thing.

i don’t want to hear about how woman cheat too. Yeah, obviously. But majority is men.

It takes two to cheat. "Majority" is likely equal.

But it is true that men and women cheat for different reasons. Or at least different manifestations of the same reason? I suppose even then there is a variety possible "same reasons." Inadequate sexual activity is probably a big one but not the biggest - like if at the start of a relationship she gave like 10 blowjobs a day because she loved it and then stopped doing it altogether, that might drive a guy to cheat. Opportunity with a really cute girl is possibly a big-ish one but not the biggest. By opportunity I mean coming across a hot girl who clearly wants to bone - and though those conditions probably result in cheating pretty reliably when they occur, the conditions themselves likely don't occur much (hot women tend to want sexual attention, not sex).

But the biggest is probably the desire to feel younger. An attempt to relive the sensations of being on the prowl so it feel like there is still some options in life, like it felt when they were young and still had their whole life ahead of them. Every day we spend convincing ourselves we have fought off aging is a day spent all the same. Going through the motions of younger memories like some ouroboros version of a puppet with its hand up its own ass helps people with the ability to suspend their self-awareness think they are actually winning their battle against time. I don’t have that ability, myself. And if a hot girl approached me for sex while I was in a relationship I'd be too paranoid. Can't say I wouldn't become less cautious if a relationship became sexless, though..

Honestly saying a majority of cheating occurs by men is wrong , because girls’ cheat joust as much as guys’ do. But the main reason people cheat , to begin with is mainly because the cheater feels like they are being treated like shit by their partner , they don’t see eye to eye with their partner , A lot of cheating occurs because the intimacy and affection fades away in the relationship , the passion between them basically burned out , when a partner feels their partner doesn’t appreciate them anymore or they feel unloved or unwanted by their partner , the cheater will be more than likely drawn to someone else that makes them feel wanted and appreciated. That doesn’t want to with hold intimacy and affection from them , why intimacy and affection is important in a relationship, especially if the relationship started off with a lot of intimacy and affection to begin with. Cheating is a selfish act period , when 2 people Can’t remove selfishness for each other , that’s usually when cheating can occur in a relationship, Learn to remove selfishness for your partner the same way you want them to do for you and you will have a better chance of having a loving relationship with someone that wouldn’t cheat on you. Nobody is perfect and nobody is always right , it’s ok to admit you are wrong in a relationship at times , people that can’t admit they are wrong at times , will more than likely no last

It can be for a lot of petty reasons like selfishness, or seeing relationships as sexually transactional. A common one is just a feeling of being trapped, a lot of men are so lonely they’re willing to not only create an entire false persona to keep a girl, but they’ll settle for a girl that they don’t love just because they think it’s better to have a woman and love and take care of you when you don’t love them in return. They usually end up leaving those women after they’ve established a family with them around the time they finally meet a woman they actually fall for who’s a better match for them.

Whoa, that's a complicated one. Some are simply devoid of any morality and have too much power on their hands so that they will never face the consequences of their actions. Some might excuse themselves in the same way so many women do - "their needs weren't taken care of" - You can tell Yourself whether this excuse is a valid one, just remember it's equally valid both ways. Now... Neither of these groups would have a chance to cheat if there were no women willing to cheat on their partners and no women who are perfectly fine with being homebreakers. So, simply put, men cheat because women cheat and the other way round. Also, I suppose the numbers are more or less equal. Unless there's a lot of uncommitted women who take pleasure in being homebreakers or some female pathologic cheaters who ramp up the numbers by themselves, in the sense that they cheat with so many men that the numbers still add up. Anyway, for every case of a cheating man, there is a case of a cheating (or homebreaking) woman.

all male animals including humans are biologically polygynous (while socially we can differ biologically can't) aka: we want to mate with as many female as possible and spread our sperms and only ours.

just because we choose monogamy doesn't makes us monogamic creatures, no matter how much we love our girls only thing that keeps us from looking at other womans is our sheer denial towards our true nature and some guys just don't wanna fight with what they are but not all of them are brave enough to lose what they have in their claws either so they sneak around.

for females it is a different story, in the biological sense human females are monogamous (biology not psychology or sociology) can only have 1 guys kids in a year even if you get sperm from 1000 guy at the exact same time.

but human females like most females are hypergamous alas the reason human males has sexual dymorphism (a physical attiribute aside from the body size and genitalia that spreads male from female) like mane of the lion, fangs of walrus, anthlers of bucks, horns of rams, our facial hair (not that it is like lionesses going for the lion with the darkest and thickest mane though) it is woman only getting attracted to the top quality guys that spares them from the others.

Every single male from every single species on this planet (with very few exceptions) have the instinctual drive to have sex with as many females as possible, humans are no different with the exception that we also have thought and logic to help counter act that instinctual drive.

It's no different then we all have the instinctual drive to eat food, but we also have intelligence to know that eating too much will make us fat. Some people are better at controlling that desire to eat just like some men are better at controlling the desire to fuck a bunch of women

Well obviously anyone who cheats has a deep personal flaw in their character, but as for why it seems that more men do it, I think it's because society teaches us guys that it's okay to sleep around whereas women get talked down to and put to shame for sleeping around. So to answer your question it's part personal flaw, part societal influence. That's just my thoughts.
