So I am currently working on losing weight but my boyfriend dated all skinny girls before me and when we’re in public he stares at all skinny pretty girls and though I have told him how it makes me feel he gets upset and calls me insecure.

That's kinda fucked up. He's checking girls out in front of you... then getting mad when you tell him it bothers you? That's not right.

I think its perfectly legitimate to expect your boyfriend to refrain from openly checking out other girls, while he's literally with you.

I think it's wrong for him to act like you're the one who is acting inappropriately.

The fact that he won't acknowledge that you have a valid point here, is not a great sign.

I'm not sure what there is to do, except to talk to him about it more forcefully. You shouldn't have to continue putting up with being made to feel that way. He should want to stop making you feel that way.

I have stopped because he has made me feel bad about it every time but him not understanding it makes me even more insecure and then he gets upset and says I just try to tear him apart and gets upset if I don’t go snywhere with him because of it

I realize that's why you've stopped. But being made to feel insecure... by your boyfriend... on an ongoing basis... should not be acceptable to you. (or anyone).

If he doesn't get it. You need to find a new boyfriend. It should upset him, that he is making you feel that way. He is not concerned with how you feel. He's just concerned with being able to freely check out other girls in front of you. Something is very wrong with that.

He's being disrespectful even though you told him it makes you really upset when he keeps staring at other girls. He doesn't sound like the kind of guy who cares about how you feel. A partner is supposed to make you feel loved, cared for, respected and understood. He doesn't bother to change his ways to spare your feelings shows how selfish he is. I say leave him.
