I kind of missed out on my entire childhood and a lot of my younger years, so I’ve maintained a very youthful dis-position. I don’t know if it was a consequence of a confluence of events or if it’s just a residual energy that was never allowed to be free , that kind of I just lives on in the host 😛

It does seem that I get along really well with people who have a youthful energy but have seen hard times - esp at a young age.. trauma is not a requirement tho it does make a person more relatable to me.

The age doesn't matter, however at this point in my life, I still want kids so I think anywhere from 20 to my age is best. I say only my age as the upper limit because I'm still not financially ready to have kids, so I still need a little time.

If I didn't want kids or already had kids, it wouldn't matter what their age is. They could be 20 or 50. I wouldn't care as long as I'm attracted to them physically and we're compatible personality-wise

I don’t want to say “age is just a number” because it matters I wouldn’t want someone underage for instance and I wouldn’t want someone past the child bearing years, unless there was a exception to that rule never say never.

But I get everyone’s different so it does depend on the person. Some people say they will never do something until the right person comes along whose older or younger. But I think people who have a age fetish aren’t doing it for the right reasons.

Generally older at this point. Women my age are typically jaded beyond redemption. Younger women have no clue how to treat a man. On its face that isn’t necessarily bad, but they’re not trying to learn either. It’s almost unheard of for men’s boundaries to be accepted by women with grace and understanding.
Older women in my experience have been better at communicating their wants and needs, and listening to mine.

I've always regarded relationships as being something between equals. Not necessarily individuals that are the same, but at least complement each other's strengths and weaknesses so as to balance out... So I've generally favoured those close to my own range.
That said, I've never been so caught up on the age thing that I'd outright reject someone for being the wrong age.

Any age just not someone too old or someone who looks like a teenager. Men in their 20s and early 30s look the best. I am rarely attracted to ageing men. "Not wanting to get married" at a wedable age has only become a recent trend.

Back during the 1970s-1990s, most people were married by 30. But nowadays, you see plenty of 30 yr olds who are not ready to marry.

Its actually a terrible thing because reproductive health is not as good as you get older which means your kids are less likely to be healthy throughout life. And the older you are, the less likely you are to reproduce- this is for both men and women.

A lot of men think that they can wait forever to have kids, but reality is.. vast majority of young women in childbearing age are not looking for old men to have kids with.

mid to late 20s is the perfect time for people to start taking dating seriously, look for life time partners. But truth is... very few men in their mid to late 20s are looking for these things.

I am a home care nurse and I work with a lot of kids with disabilities. I can tell you that the vast majority of the disabled children are born to older parents. Once you have a disabled child, it is the worst burden a parent can ever have.

Family values is not part of anyone's values over here.

Starting a family , getting married is seen as completely optional.

In anywhere else in the US, most people are married by 30 or 35. Over here, it is normal to be single at 35 or 43 and they're proud of it.

Most men here aren't looking to commit. There are 36 yr olds men here who think they will have kids at 45 or 55.

But what they do not realize is that their chances of scoring a young woman of child bearing age gets lower as they get older.

I know as a young woman of child bearing age, I am definitely not looking to get married and start a family with a 49 yr old man

I was born and raised in NYC. 30 whole years of my life.

There is a reason why most of the kids I grew up with, including cousins have FLED this city.

Because they realize that the people and surrounding in other states are much better than here.

To be honest, there is nothing good about NYC unless you are ridiculously brilliant, greedy, career oriented, want to make a lot of money OR
you just want to be surrounded by other people.

For the most part, people generally want to move here due to the latter.

NYC is not a comfortable place to live in, neither is it a friendly place. It's the only place where it can be so overpopulated but yet it is so hard to make friends.

Most people come here because they HAVE NEVER SEEN A CROWD.

They see loud noise pollution, crazy people, lack of privacy on streets as "Exciting". But to me as a native new yorker, it is the most IRRITATING thing.

People here date for the "Fun". They don't date with the intent to marry.

They're ridiculously picky due to lack of family values and also the illusion that they have more options than they actually do.

Frequently it is their illusion of having way too many options, which makes them not try to work hard on MAINTIAING their relationships with others. They think the city is so overpopulated, they can easily find someone else all the time. Changing relationships is just like changing shirts for them

We definiately can chat about it. I have been sick of NYC since 2017 but its just been difficult to move due to swtiching to another career, schooling, licenses, etc.

Currently I am in my last year of futhering my degree. I will finish by mid next year. Then I will have to test for my RN license and try to get a compact license (so I can work in other states). Its a long complicated process.

I also don't have a drivers license. Most of us in NYC do not drive. And it costs 100 dollars for a 1.5 hour lesson, which is sad. But once I graduate, I would be able to afford it.

Texas and Florida also pays nurses way less than NYC does. So that is also something I want to take into consideration.

I can find a job, as a nurse, anywhere. Its never hard to find a job in this field. But its just the pay difference that I am kinda concerned about because I do want to support children, one day. I know for a fact that NYC and CA pays nurses the most
