Do couples who frequently fight can still be married? or they should just give up?

It depends on the KIND of fighting. A while ago a few of us were on a panel talking about how different it was to have a Mediterranean partner... One panelist was the representative of the non-Mediterranean who married into a "big fat Greek family"... She claimed that she was anxious 24/7 because they were fighting ALL the time, but he seemed fine and would push a dish of food and be sweet to her even mid-way though their argument, meanwhile her stomach was jumping double-dutch and she was shaking like a leaf.

The rest of us tried hard not to chuckle, not because we were making fun of her, but because we had all been desensitized to this precise problem as children, whereas she had never fought with anyone in her entire life. The more important question was... What were you fighting about? Was it important or was he just being loud?

I then shared one of my favorite stories... A colleague and I were talking -- his Sicilian to my Greek, so we were LOUD, but we were talking about his son's wedding reception, so it was a COMPLETELY POSITIVE discussion, however our volume apparently alarmed the security guard who rushed in with her baton in one hand and her other hand on her weapon. "What's going on?" she asked. The guy and I looked at each other and then at her, completely puzzled and asked the guard if SHE was ok, showing pics of the reception. She backed away from the two loud people and left us to continue our chat.

So really it's just a matter of what you're both used to...

NOW ON THE OTHER HAND... IF YOU'RE CONTINUALLY LOCKING HORNS ON MAJOR ISSUES... THAT IS A RED FLAG.

You can still be married under whatever circumstances you choose, I know some older folks who treat it more as a monetary transaction than a loving marriage.

If they don't frequently fight it means they have a problem in their relationship, fighting is a way of communication and can vary in its level👍🏻

That means one or both people are too immature to properly communicate

Give up if you can't get along you obviously are incompatible and a marriage won't fix that. It will only trap you both and make things worse.
