What would a woman do if a man asked her to split the bill?

I've come across the channel before, it's... interesting. Not going to watch the entire video, but I wouldn't exactly take this woman as sound advice or being indicative of reality.

Personally, I strongly prefer to split the bill on the first date especially. Later in a relationship, I think my ideal - unless we have like, massively different financial situations - would be to like swap off who pays for things when we're together (ex. he buys dinner, I pay for the activity, etc) so that we're both actively giving to each other, but neither person is having to pay for everything. Being with your person shouldn't be some one-sided financial burden.

The preference more from the first date is because a) some guys end up fairly entitled about that stuff and automatically expect more because they paid, b) I want to be able to walk away without personally feeling like I owe the other person something and can determine how I feel about them with pressure, and c) I don't want to take advantage of anything, esp if I end up not liking the guy and we don't go out again.

My friend and her ex did this thing where they would pass off a ten dollar bill regardless of whatever the check was as "paying each other back". It was really cute in my opinion.

I won't speak for every woman, but I'd be thrilled tbh. Some men seem to have this theory that women are just using them for a free meal or that they are owed sex because he bought them dinner and drinks like she's some kind of prostitute.

Splitting the bill removes either of those thoughts from the eequation. If he didn't suggest it, then I would insist on it.
