Have you ever been glad you did not base your choices on appearance?

I used to collect photos of guys I thought were good looking when I was single. I was going through my saved photos today and I realize nearly all these guys I used to find good looking are ugly to me now. There is one guy I thought was super attractive that I now think is super ugly. There are other guys I find neither good looking nor ugly, but I have a boyfriend so it does not matter.

Yes when it comes to chocolate for example.

Some brands of chocolate don't have a fancy wrapper, but they still taste better than certain brands with beautiful wrappers.

I've rarely made choices based on appearance, except for the obese pink skimpy outfit woman first date I almost had, which I've described several times here on GaG, most recently in a response to What’s the worst date you’ve ever been on?

It's an excellent example of why it's a mistake to heavily prioritize looks for a long term relationship. Your priorities will change, and ultimately what is always going to end up being the most important is their morals, values, and life goals.

I’ve had many smart, well positioned girlfriends, but unfortunately, I ended things because their appearance wasn’t what I wanted; for me, without physical attraction, their other qualities don’t come into play.
