Should I try dating right now or wait?

I'm currently unemployed, ( quit my last job), I have a good bit of savings to last me a long time, I live with my ex ( together for 7 years), but she's out of the house a good bit of the time

I'm starting my own business, and my mom recently past away. Me and my ex are on good terms, but we both don't want to get back together. Should I entertain dating at all? or wait until I'm on my feet again? ( I do work odd jobs from time to time)

Think about Adam and Eve. (True that the guy had a monopoly going, HOWEVER he was able to offer the gal ALL OF PARADISE.) If you want a girl to be your partner then you have to have something to offer her to partner WITH. If you don't have your life together and she DOES then why would she give you significant chunks of her time?
