1. Hollywood has the biggest influence worldwide, and in tv shows/movies, white men are often portrayed in the most positive light, often with a perfect balance of being both smart and masculine. Asian men, outside of martial art films, tend to be wimps next to white men and often subservient to them. In addition, holly wood is fine showing white men dating/marrying Asian women very often in films but rarely show the reverse.
2. Western Media tend to have white skin as the default basis of handsome/beautiful. Think of the heart throb leads in tv shows/movies, they are often white men and women. Other ethnic groups are deemed attractive based on how close they are to white features. Hence, black people with dark skin, big noses or lips are often looked at as the least attractive.
3. Wealthiest men in the West and those in power are often white men. This creates an association of high status to that of white skin. Women in general want to latch on to the most powerful group in society, and will marry a white male for that purpose. Marrying a white male makes them be seen as assimilated in the West and helps in social mobility.
4. As we know, adult content is watched more by women these days. When Asian women watch adult content, they often will look for scenes that has an Asian woman in it, in order to project themselves into that scene. However, most adult film stars are white males, so chances are Asian woman will be paired with that group. This further implanting in an Asian woman's mind to see only white men as sexual beings.
5. Negative stereotypes of Asian men's wang being small is still used for cheap laughs in the media. This in turn make women see Asian men as less sexual.
6. Western women tend to be obsessed with height. Asian men on average are shorter than white males.
7. Asian men tend to face the most rejection in dating. Women often tend to avoid dating men that other women don't want. This in turn creates a domino effect.
