bankruptcy doesn't happen suddenly... it usually happens after a series of very terrible bad decisions and actions one after the other, and a lot less unlikely but still likely... series of quite unfortunate events for which there was no preparation in place

although not a realistic scenario for me... I would not just leave someone solely on one reason alone, not this one anyway... lol

If she’s a degenerate gambler who lost everything at the casino or something
i would leave for sure


If it’s an unforeseen circumstance of life I would absolutely stay and help out as best I can

I would stay but they would be responsible for paying off their own bills. I wouldn’t put my money into that.

Suddenly bankrupt? The only acceptable form of suddenly bankrupt would be medical reasons. And even that doesn't constitute suddenly. It would indicate lack of planning, and to a certain extent lack of listening. But, that's why I'll always be in charge of the finances.
