Why is it a Red Flag if a women tells you about her career?

I find it an automatic red flag when I tell a man about my career and he doesn't respect it.

The only reason why a man would hate a woman with a good career is because he wants to control her.

Realize that the only reason why he wants her to stay home is so that she can remain powerless in the house. A lotta them would say its "better for the kids" but don't be naive. That is not the real reason.

Most of the men who want to stay home wives aren't adequate providers, and this is enough proof that they don't care about their kids. A man who prioritizes his kids will not be an inadequate provider YET still demand a stay home mom

It’s not lol. For men who don’t want a woman with a career…. I have seen more so called traditional marriages fail then any other. Find a quality woman… Whether she has a career or wants to stay home. Make sure she’s of quality.

Nah, I get it. There's a fine line between a gold digger and a wife. It ultimately comes down to attitude. A wife understands she still has responsibilities even while being taken care of.

@Vegasrunner : here’s the deal. i don’t deliberately spend my time with that type of man. it’s more feeling like this day and age, you’re either with that sort of, or bust

i even posted a question on here recently to the effect of what happened to men being honored to be head of household. responses were quite dire and told me all i needed to know. the first thing today’s age men think about with regards to relationship is protecting their paycheck and making sure their bills are split. and hence they ask about the woman’s paycheck and call her gold digger if she even hints at being a wife or a homemaker or anything traditional. conversations on here are full of proof of that and hence my surprise at your particular answer.

i did end up looking the other way in terms of having traditional roles. i chose to be supportive for a while. i’ve always had to work to support my own self but i assumed wrongly that getting married we’d both contribute to our lives together ultimately. i was quite wrong. i ended up drained, i wasn’t the person i used to be with the added expectation of supporting someone else financially, but i wasn’t the wife i wanted to be either. and i didn’t want the husband who was just contributing to my unhappiness and emotional depletion. i lost touch with my own femininity and kindness and sense of love and became disenchanted burnt out person. so yes, i’ll agree that traditional roles are obvious fail-safes at least to my particular scenario.

but guys don’t see it this way.

and that’s fine. until then, we could support our own selves without having the added burden of another person’s pettiness. it works out
