Why do women view the question Hru, In a text as a red flag?

I don’t know anyone who is opposed to an hru text — unless it’s creepy and unwanted, or someone you never spoke to asking out of the blue.


Hru is just a basic question. Usually answered with an equally basic “Fine.. and you?” To indicate gratitude for the message, reciprocity and possibly the desire not to go into the actual details of their day (esp if you’re still strangers).

If you value the conversation less then the time to write these words its probably not a conversation worth starting. It sounds lazy, it sounds not interesting nor interested at all and probably isn't even worth noticing when there are others to choose from. Even that all aside, imagine how the conversation would continue: Hru
Good... thats it. It doesn't start anything and if you dont know her she won't give you a real answer.
Its doing less than "hey" and hey is doing nothing.
Its a totally different scenario if you know each other already and actually mean the question during a conversation. Thats why I asked.
