I am 38 and he is 28 is this age gap too much?

I recently met a guy through a mutual friend and we hit it off instantly. We have such a great connection and an undeniable chemistry. I really like him and was so happy when he asked me out. My only worry is our age gap. I’ve never dated anyone younger than I am or with such a big gap. I worry that my friends and family will think I am crazy going for someone much younger, as I’ve never been much of a cougar. I really want to be with him though and am just wondering if this gap is too much in your opinion? Thanks in advance.

10 years is a max age i would consider.. Personally I honestly want someone close to my age so i don't have to worry about getting old first but if you both really like each other it could workout.

If you were 30 and he was 20, probably, but I don’t think it matters so much with your current ages. I say go for it if it is going to make you both happy

10 years is about the maximum I would see as okay. Also, he's in his late 20s, so he's not at the beginning stages of adulthood. I'm guessing he doesn't want kids with you.

@mysteriousNicholas my age gap is pretty narrow. Like my age or a couple years older. But I don’t think there’s anything morally wrong or even inappropriate about a 38 year old dating a 28 year old.

Anyways - anyways for me though nope I'm mature at 31 going on 32, and I often feel if I dated say, a 21 year old woman now, she'd be too immature for my liking in terms of lacking life milestones, and different milestones.
