I've met this guy online, he’s in the US and me Canada. So we haven’t met yet, but have been playing video games together and talking constant every day, and swapping photos. We plan to meet for the first time in January. 3 weeks in this guy said he is in love with me over text. Isn’t this too soon? I admit I also feel like im in love sometimes but would not say it just cause it feels too soon. Can someone really fall in love after just 3 weeks, and without even meeting? i feel like he is in love with the idea of me and is actually just confused

In my opinion, you cannot love someone you never interacted with other than through a video game. What do you know about that person? Not much really except that he is a gamer like you.

Interacting on a person-to-person basis is primordial in my opinion in order to make yourself an opinion about a person. You will never be able to accurately see facial expressions, his body language, his entire personality and character.

It takes time to know someone and even more time to really fall in love with him. What will happen once you meet him and then you are separated again. It is going to be a long distance relationship and we all know how successful those are.

LOL, it'll take me 6 months getting to know a woman before I even ask her out. Another 6 months of dating to find out if she's romantically compatible, and then... maybe... I'd start thinking about "love" as a possibility.

Yes, it's too soon and a HUGE RED FLAG. It's a sign that he's completely immature and has little to no experience dating.

You are right, he is in love with his idea of you. When you turn out to be a real woman with needs of her own, he will end it. Save him the trouble and end it now. Then block him.
