My friends with benefits said I love you after 2 years?

Just want some opinions, I’ve been in a 2 year friends with benefits relationship with my ex from 13 years ago. I told him I loved him 6 months into the relationship but he said that he cared a lot about me but he wasn’t in love with me. We stopped the relationship for about 3 weeks & started it back. Due to me being to emotional, we have stopped & started the relationship about 6 times within the 2 years. I told him that I felt like he loved me but he wouldn’t ever tell me & he kept saying that he cared about me a lot but it wasn’t love (We are both in relationships with someone else, I know it’s wrong to do that but it’s the truth) This last time, We stopped seeing each other about 3 weeks ago Bc we got into an argument & I really hurt his feelings. I apologized & he said he wouldn’t accept my apology. Now a week later, Yesterday was my birthday, he asked me out for lunch out of no where. We ate & talked & I hinted that I wanted to have sex but I wasn’t sure if he wanted to. He didn’t say anything, just looked at me & climbed into the back seat (bc we was in his truck). He was on his lunch break at work & we only had about 8 mins left before he had to go back. I gave him oral like I always do bc I like it. Then as we are getting in position he said, listen I do love you, it’s just hard bc we have different lives but I wanted you to know the truth & that is that I do love you. I have loved you for awhile now & was just afraid to say it bc I know that we can’t be together & I wanted you to know the truth. Some say guys just say that to get sex but I was already having sex with him anyways so that doesn’t make sense. This is the first time he has ever told me he loved me & he looked me dead in the eyes when he said it to my face. He waited 2 years to tell me knowing I’ve been in love with him this whole time. Do you think he meant it?

I’ve always felt like he did but he wouldn’t ever say it or tell me when I asked. Not knowing for sure was making me crazy bc I felt like he was lying to me when he told me no that he doesn’t so I got really emotional about it. I’ve always told him how I felt about him bc I do love him & I’m not afraid to tell him that but I could tell he was afraid to tell me that he loved me. I feel like he meant it bc it took him so long to say it. We are both in relationships & both have a kid with the other person we are with. He started seeing me when him & his current girlfriend was together for 4 Months, he told me he moved way to fast with her & moved in together after 3 months of being together & he was planning on breaking up with her but then she got pregnant & he stayed with her & he saw me the whole time. Like I feel like if it was just for the sex he wouldn’t keep coming back to me over & over & over especially after I said I loved him a year in a half ago. He never stays longer than 3 weeks away from me when we have stopped seeing each other. One of us always comes back.

Does the other person that you’re having a relationship with the father of your child know about the friends with benefits?

No he doesn’t know. My boyfriend/father of my child cheated on me with my best friend the whole time I was pregnant with our child. I caught them when she was 3 months old. We split up & then months later decided to work it out, I started the friends with benefits with my ex bc he was familiar so I was comfortable with him. I wasn’t getting it much from my boyfriend & he wasn’t getting it much from his girlfriend & eventually I caught feelings for my ex during the friends with benefits. Two wrongs don’t make a right but I kinda felt like I wanted secret revenge bc of the whole he cheated on me with my best friend. I felt like the only way I was going to let it go was to sleep with someone else & that’s what I did. I shouldn’t have done it bc it was wrong but I would be lying if I said it didn’t help me let it go & being so hurt from it. I feel bad now about doing it bc I don’t want to hurt my current boyfriend. Even tho it’s not his best friend, its still going to hurt him.

I think you probably should start all over again and find yourself a good Christian man instead all these evil dirty deeds and taking revenge
