And yes some people thrive better by being parents
But not everyone


I personally think if you want a kid you should be able to afford a kid


Procreation is easy to do


But giving your offspring a decent life is another matter
And frankly every kid deserves a chance

Choosing not to have children is a form of “free will” , you know , the whole make choices and determine your own actions thing 🤣… and they may choose not have children for a variety of reasons none of which need to have anything to do with your choice or anyone else’s. Free will is a pretty basic concept.


Reasons could be financial freedom , flexibility in lifestyle or purely because they don’t want to parent a child.


Choosing to bring someone into the world , parent them , to nurture , support , love , protect, raise them etc shouldn’t be done because it may relieve “boredom”… that’s ridiculous.


A persons life can be about so much more other that a binary choice of dating forever or having a child to stave off the boredom.

I don't blame them. Kids can be a lot of work and not everyone is willing to put in that work. Plus kids are irreversible so if you regret kids there's no going back unless you put them up for adoption or are of one those parents who run away from home, both which are usually looked down upon. And also, some people just don't like kids at all in general. Myself included. I never liked kids even when I was one myself.
