We should all have single at the top of our list though sadly many of us don't reach that level of niceness despite 1 in 3 people being single with therefore plenty of singles to go around.

Age is always a factor. Around 1 in 3 will be in your target age bracket.

You excluded height but I'm including to make a point. 1 in 3 men are over 6 ft.

You excluded money but including again to build the point. About 1 in 3 men earn +100K but it correlates with age strongly.

Empathetic is currently a desired trait in a man. About 1 in 3 men are empathetic.

The chances of a man having all these qualities is 1/3 * 1/3 * 1/3 * 1/3 * 1/3 or 1 in 243. So a woman with this list will find ~4 men in 1,000 suitably qualified for her.

As further reality check there are 166.1 million men in the US. If you are an American woman and you have a list of 18 must-have traits, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Break out your party poppers.

If you knocked of one req and settled for 17 then there would be one American man meeting your standards. Even so you've got a helluva lot of door knocking to do.

Sadly for women, men get a vote too. That 1 suitable US man you judge suitable might not judge you suitable.

So your unrealistic expectations is having a lot of standards met.

Me? I'd like a slender girl with at least C cups. But slender negatively correlates with breast volume so I will settle for B cups.

Mostly hypocrisy. If she wants him to do romantic stuff for her, she should do it for him too, if she wants him to be loyal (not be on dating sites, not flirt with others, etc.) she also needs to be loyal (don't post provocative/revealing pictures online, don't dress that way in public without him with her), if she wants him to be the primary support financially (work full time) then she should work full time, be the primary one doing chores at home. If she wants something traditional like getting married, she needs to sign a prenuptial agreement. If she has kids, she shouldn't expect a man without kids to be interested.

It is mainly that people should just have FAIR expectations. Wanting a tall man is fine if she is slim and cute. Wanting someone that doesn't watch porn or flirt with others is fine (and should be the norm) as long as she doesn't post provocative/revealing pictures and doesn't make NEW opposite gender friends when in a relationship. Just be fair people.

I was talking to a guy who told me "this is how I am" about doing things unilaterally... no asking or discussion in advance. If he wants to spoil me or go all out for me to get something done, he will, and that's it. He says it's unrealistic to think that that he's going to review every little thing with me and ask permission. (It's not what I was asking him to do by the way... I was just mentioning to him that he didn't have to go all out... that we could discuss things before he makes a grand gesture, esp since we're not dating... The optics look weird.) So my expectation for reasonable conversation before he spends or adjusts travel/work plans... which are important for me... are considered "his business to deal with" and unrealistic for me to worry about. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Women have unrealistic expectations when they believe they can marry guys they can f**k. The converse is not true. If a man can f**k a woman, he is almost certain that he can marry her.

I think if a woman start listing it off for you rather than just getting to know you is a red flag🚩.

It's less a list and more of attitude. Usually you can tell pretty quickly if she partner material or not by this. Because a woman wh I is truly seeking a partner looks to bridge gaps rather than dig for deal breakers.
