Does the relationship get boring after 2 years of dating?

It's been 2 years of dating now and he's kind and sweet and all. But I think our relationship has gotten very boring or I don't know maybe he's losing interest, there is just normal conversation everyday , less texting and ily at night that's all. is this how it should be or am I missing something out? most of the time when he is online and i text he doens't reply but is online , I am more of an introvert an he's an ambivert has lots of females friends and talks with them everyday almost. i have never been toxic or controlling or anything but how do I know if he's into it or just passing time?

You have now past the honeymoon phase. That's when you and your partner know each other inside out and have experienced a lot together. There's not much else to learn about them. Sex doesn't excite you as much because you've seen them 1000 times already and probably tried most positions together. This is the point where most couples give up. They miss that fresh feeling they had at the start, getting to know someone new, the excitement, and the effort that was put into everything in the beginning.

You have to choose what you want at this point. Either put effort into the relationship. Communicate your issues to your partner... not here. No matter how uncomfortable it makes you, you need to make him aware, or things will never change. Tell him you want him to communicate more. Tell him you're feeling distant. Tell him you're feeling bored and there's a lack of excitement. Tell him you miss the effort he put into the relationship in the beginning. If you never communicate what's on your mind. Men are not mind readers.

Also note that relationships aren't just about curing your boredom. They're about developing bonds with someone who eventually potentially becomes your biggest support system.

Either take that advice, or break up and end the "boredom."

Communicate honestly how you feel. It’s better to end a relationship then you be miserable or worse string someone else along. Real relationships involve communicating even when it’s hard. Some aren’t meant to be others can be worked out.

How receptive is he to communication? If he gets overly defensive or on the other extreme doesn’t really give a shit. That’s a issue.

Honestly I think it’s for you to decide what’s normal or not in your relationship, along with if you feel content in it or not. Every couple is different, some enjoy the slower pace while others need a bit more, so it’s important to know what you’re looking for and if you’re actually getting that.

Most relationships should be good for at least 7 to 10 years or they aren't the one, 2 years is way too soon for him to not be putting effort or for you to be bored lol

Sometimes they do if you don’t try things that you haven’t done before and try to make things more interesting in the relationship by doing different things, but once it gets complacent it can get boring
