I have had new girlfriends invite me over for dinner. That was always a really good sign... like they wanted to impress me. In those cases, they went out of their way to make a special meal and set the table very nicely, but they didn't make the ambience obviously romantic. Although romance inevitably ensued later in the bedroom.
I have invited girlfriends over and cooked for them, but that was usually after we were in a relationship. And I made a show of having flowers and candles on the table, dim lighting and music. Good wine was always served.
I always prefer to cook and eat at my place and chicks love my cooking, but I prefer to smash them in their own place, to defeat her in her own castle, and also be drowned in all her smells, pheromones, everything in her room🥰
It depends how far we are in the dating game and about his or my intentions.
If we're just starting to date, I'd rather go to HIS place. I would find it easier to put an end to the date by telling him I need to leave and get together some other night. I wouldn't feel safe with a man at my place if things don't work out the way I want.
If the date would lead to something more, I'd prefer MY place. At that point, it wouldn't really matter.
You don’t want a new guy to know where you live if it’s early in the dating process also right?
@BarryLiverstone Correct.
Then yes, I see why you prefer his place to begin with. Feeling safe is important for both guys and girls
I start doing that after a month if we’ve been seeing one another regularly. Three months if it’s staggered dating. I just want to make sure he’s safe to have around the house, that he’ll respect my space and not think I’m having him over just for the physical stuff. ;)

If I am cooking, I am much more comfortable doing so in my own kitchen.
I never take people at my place, it's either their place or rental. Also I hate cooking so it's always their idea having dinner like that. It doesn't happen often but when it happens always a man cooks for me and cleans up after cause I also hate cleaning and the idea of staying at home, cooking and cleaning after is just not at all romantic and appealing to me, like why not go to the restaurant where I can pay other people to do those chores for me.
I feel bad whenever I turn those offers down but tbh whenever I said if you wanna cook you cook alone and I'm not cleaning the mess no one has ever had a problem with it so ig it works for them anyway
The fact that I hate chores doesn't mean I starve myself in a dirty house, my point was I'd always prefer HIS place because cooking and eating in is a chore for me and does not sound romantic at all
I literally said that men always cook and clean for me in such occassions cos I don't want to. talk for yourself maybe you're not worth cooking and cleaning for 😂 my men never refused to do that for me so far
Are you a guy or a girl?
It depends on living situations and preferences
For instance if she lives with family or with roommate my place would be better as I live alone in an apartment
If she also has her own place and prefers her dining table I would gladly go over there instead
I don’t have a personal preference as long as we are cozy and isolated.
Worst thing would be a date with background extras
It depends on comfort and intention.
If it’s early in dating, her place often feels safer, it lets her feel in control of the environment.
But if there’s mutual trust and effort, his place can be just as intimate, provided respect and comfort are prioritized.
The real answer isn’t about location, it’s about atmosphere wherever the energy feels balanced, effortless, and genuine, that’s the right place.
i like going to theirs first especially when i live with my grandma lol but even if i didn't
i'm not going anywhere in private like that unless if we're exclusive and i trust him enough
Well right now, it's a moot point since we're married 😆 But when we were engaged or just dating, a lot of the time, it was at either her place or my parents'.
I usually have it at my place. I always sure the house is spotless, have good music playing, and I don't try to cook extravagant
I'd love to cook for my date, but not in a kitchen where I can't find anything!
It really depends on whose kitchen is better outfitted.
Her place I don’t have to break my butt cleaning before, and after
Lol I said her place , just for giggles 😛😋 🍽️ lol
my place because of i have what i need
It's her choice.
Place that we want both. HAHA
See what her house is like or clutter
I hear that lol
