Will a man ever stop trying even though both of you know, he's not into you?

I've only seen my ex once in the early part of this year, but once and a while he texts me and gives me updates in his life. The last update was about his broken drone and him ordering a new one.
Today he got it, which is great. However he ordered a king-size bed at the same time and it arrived yesterday, the original day he texted me. He says it's so soft and relaxing and I should come over and feel it. That it has some body and temp technology. He said he wants to show it off and test out some features with me. I declined the offer and he talks about going somewhere else to hangout whenever I'm free. I don't care, I changed the subject then after that subject, I excused myself. But as an ex, how many times does he have to be rejected to realize nothing's happening?

Some people don't seem to recognize when a relationship is over and not recoverable. It's not just men. I had an ex that I broke up with because she lied a lot, which is a total deal breaker for me. Over a period of a few years, she would periodically reappear and try to get things going again. Somehow, even though we lived in different states by then, she always seemed to know when I wasn't dating anyone and would reach out.

She was a lot of fun to be with aside from the frequent lying, so I did feel some temptation, but the amount of lying meant there was no chance I could ever have a serious relationship with her, so I kept turning her down. Eventually, she got the message and gave up but it took a long time. I think some people, when they really want to be with someone, have a hard time accepting that it's never going to happen and they keep trying for longer than seems reasonable.

Hopefully, if you keep saying no, eventually he'll figure it out and move on. You didn't say how long it's been since the breakup, but if it has been a long time and he still won't give up, you might at some point need to block him.

He wants you to feel his new bed... sure does he really think he is going to get you to have sex with him on it. Maybe block him on socials. Or more bluntly tell him nicely that enough is enough and he needs to move on. He probably is getting tired of jerking off and misses the sex with you so be a bit flattered. Ur thoughts?

It probably would be easier for him of you limited or cut contact. I have a debilitating crush on a certain curly girl. I completely limited my access to her, and I was almost completely free from her. She did something that clearly was directed at me, and it completely erased any progress I made. You giving him any attention could keep his interest alive.

Many guy find it hard to move on from a relationship. They get too attached and don't know how to handle breakup. If you keep in touch with him he feels there is a chance of you getting back to him or you would have cut ties.
