What does it mean if a guy doesn't give up on making it work between the two of you?

We've been talking for almost 2 months we haven't met yet and he has told me that he isn't giving up on us and wants this to work out. He seems really understanding, asks me how i am and seems really kind.

Give it time. Only time will tell if he stays true to his word especially after you've met you can establish something more solid. I think it's a little to early to say, however he may be of the rare kind who keeps his word. Meet first and see how it goes.
