I think it’s probably better to tell the other person before the first date that they are transgender but I was curious to what other people might think.

In fact it should be one of the first disclaimers upon meeting someone


Because if the person is willing to date a trans at least that doubt will be removed


And if not then no one’s time gets wasted

Before. If it is an issue for them then you might as well find out before you go to the trouble of meeting them in person. Save yourself some time.

I think this conversation need to happen as soon as possible. Preferably before the first date. If you do not mention it before hand you might be at risk of meeting someone who's completely against trans people and Lord knows what could happen to you be attacked or even murdered.

Before. To not waste the other persons, or their own, time if it turns out the other person isn’t interested in dating someone transgender and also for safety reasons. It’s not impossible that someone finding out that the person they’ve been talking to and are on a date with is trans gets very upset, aggressive and maybe even violent.
