Do men actually have lower standards than women?

I can't hear enough of guys saying "I don't want to date any woman over 30. She's past her prime, expired, etc. Or I don't want an overweight woman... why do overweight women think they're desirable?

Then they claim they have "lower standards" than women... they say it's wrong how women want guys who are at least 6 feet... how it's gold digging and materialistic to Want a man who can provide her a financially good life.

Yes, men do have lower standards than women. Men want a woman that is at least somewhat attractive ( a 5 or better), no past of promiscuity so she can actually emotionally pair bond, have some similar interests to share together, no contact with any ex and no kids from an ex, and for her to be fair to him in the relationship.

Women want a man that is very attractive (8 or better in looks), wealthy (at least $100k per year), 6' tall, strong, willing to risk his life to defend her when she starts problems with others (it is often her own fault), she wants him to be able to fix everything around the house, workout frequently to stay in good shape (not being fat is MUCH easier than being strong like women want men to be), she wants him to have plenty fo time to spend with her even though he also needs to spend plenty of time working out, and making lots of money somehow so he should never get to sleep, relax, or pursue any of his own hobbies/interests and his whole life needs to revolve around pleasing her. She doesn't want him looking at revealing pictures of other women, but she thinks it is fine for her to be a $1ut and post revealing pictures online and flirt with other guys.

Women want men to be superior to them in almost every way possible to have a relationship. MOST women are very low quality and don't come anywhere close to the men they want. They also often pick out 1 or 2 things where the woman is better than her man in a relationship, but conveniently ignore the 10 + things that man is better at than the woman in the relationship.

Also, most women are 2 to 3 points LESS attractive than they claim. They cover up their shameful looks with makeup because subconsciously they know they are NOT nearly as attractive as they pretend to be. Women, if you wear makeup, you are a deceptive liar and unattractive.

I think women hold their standards more strictly than men cause online dating is leading to filters and stuff stopping connections before they happen.

I've had 3 relationships, long term and all 3 started with on paper, me being a notch below, but they warmed to me very quickly. I think it's the way I only focused on them when they're otherwise used to guys going from date to date like she's not special.

Once they warmed up, they stopped caring about other criteria that concerned them, one bit one being age. My last relationship, she was 5 years older, it's very rare for the girl to be more than 2 years older. So there was a feeling of her settling when she should want someone further in life.

But she, too brushed it aside and loved me. When the chips are down, the only thing we truly care about is how we feel about eachother, and that supersedes any filter on a dating app

What kind of standard? If like financially, education yeah some men have lower standards than women. Like a man who have financially secure or rich wouldn’t mind to date a poor girl who can’t even afford a skincare, but a poor girl wouldn’t date a poor man because he is poor.


But it’s rarely to see an ugly woman with a handsome man, but often see ugly men with beautiful woman. So it’s just what’s kind of standard you are talking about?

No. Men are very visual creatures so yes a woman being physically beautiful is a must. However, standards are subjective to each. It depends as to how much importance a man gives to his standards.

I won't say men have low standards. I am a man myself and yes my standards are high.

Yeah, for a lot of guys, as long as she's breathing and has a hole, that’s enough for a hookup. But I can't say the same for marriage. For the long haul, men who know their worth will definitely have standards.
