Why is it so difficult to find a clever girl?

The issue I struggle with is that most girls just don't have anything in common with me. They can't hold the kind of conversations I am into because it doesn't interest them at all. So I have the same issue, but not because the girls aren't intelligent but because the things they do are boring to me. Like if all she did was go to the mall and has shopping as her hobby I have 0 relatability with that. I don't even know how to carry such a conversation, like I can ask what she got and you get a basic answer like for example "Some lipstick" and how do you follow up in that? How do I get from such a dry topic to something deep and meaningful?

But there are girls of course who are good at actual deep meaningful conversation, where its a very natural flow or where they have interests in common with me. Those girls I can talk to for hours without any issues.

Clever women exist, but different interests can be misleading. Also, female intelligence is more uniform, while men show much more variance.
