Why is it wrong to expect a traditional marriage after traditional dating?

So, I got in to an argument with a couple female friends on facebook about dating. They all said tradition dating is the only way and a man should pay for everything on every date. I said I would agree, if the marriage was traditional too and the wife was stay at home. Some how, this is considered sexist and was told it’s just me wanting a slave. Is this a feminist thing? Do feminists really think like this?

There's nothing traditional about dating. My Parents, Grandparents and ancestors did not date they met someone with the intention of marrying and having a family and married them as soon as they could. People in the past didn't wait three, five, seven years to get married. Dating is a made up concept by the modern society. With that being said I don't see nothing wrong in you expecting to have a traditional marriage but be aware that in today's society Woman prefer to go to work than staying at home taking care of the house.

It's not. If a woman wants traditional dating, which is practice and preparation for marriage, then she ought to expect and prepare for a traditional marriage in turn.

They don't, but if you invite a woman on a date, you should pay for it. You don't want start a relationship by keeping score. If you earn much more than she does, you should pay for most joint activities because it's much easier for you. You aren't likely to meet many women close to your age who want to be stay-at-home wives, because they've been working for about 15 years or more.

Obviously you didn't get it. It sounds like you consider relationships as pure transactions. May you find a partner who feels the same, and you can create a spreadsheet to figure who owes what. Then you can bargain for everything.
