I did very few hookups. More than a few if you count BJs. I preferred committed, monogamous relationships.
Beginning at age 16, I engaged in long-term relationships with wonderful girlfriends until I got married at age 42. My wife and I have been happily married now for almost 30 years.

I always liked having a girlfriend - a female best friend - to hang out, chat, go places, do things and have fun with. And sex with a long term partner is great because you can engage in infatuated romance, relax and get used to each other, learn each other's likes and turn ons, and have sex whenever you want.
Hook ups are thrilling but hollow.

it's really a personal preference and while i think most people at some point in life will prefer a relationship to a casual hookup plenty of people are truly satisfied with casual stuff

for me hookups lack any sense of deeper reward. sex feels better when it's with someone i care for

The second one. I think most girls do, except for a few who go through a hookup phase when they’re about my age or a little older. Though I do know one woman in her sixties who happily lives the lifestyle of a party girl.
