Should a man provide transport on a date?

My friend will not date unless she is driven or a taxi is booked. Should this be standard? is this how you date. at 10 minutes a woman tells her followers to ask men to do this.

It should be equal parts effort so if she is actually refusing unless transportation is arranged is enough to cancel the offer.
However if you are the one that asked her out you should be making arrangements to have things like that looked after.

i don't think there should be an expectation going into it that a person will have transportation provided to them

of course it's fair to ask but especially in the beginning it should not be simply assumed

Nope, I would not go on a date unless I had my own transportation for safety reasons. At least until we had been dating a while.

I wouldn't ask nor expect it. I always drive or I'll cycle if we're meeting nearby.
