There’s a 97% chance that my boyfriend needs to move to New York next year for work they’re currently dealing out the kinks. We’ve only been together for four months. I do really like him and I can see a future with him. But I just feel like there would be no point in falling in love with him just for him to leave so I feel like I should nip things in bud but honestly, I have no idea what I should do

It's February so next year is a long way off. Have you already decided you are 100% unable or unwilling to move with him? If so, then yes, you should end it. But if you see a future already this early, then you'll feel differently if you're in love by then.
