My girlfriend likes me for so many reasons. But I know for a fact initially she liked me because I have a good career. It was a deal breaker for her not meeting a guy with a good career. She also has a good career.

I guess I’m realising now that love just can’t be real as if I was some normal guy working an office job she wouldn’t have dated me. It’s all about the money with women.

It hurts when you realise that really if you didn’t have a good career (money) that your partner wouldn’t not be with you. It’s only something I’ve really focused on now.

Then be with someone who isn’t in it for your money, especially when you admit to knowing that was her motive prior. I’ve never dated for money, nor am I with my fiancé now for that. I have my own money and contribute equally to our expenses because we are a team. All the women in my family do the same thing, none of them married for money, none of their husbands are rich.

Men tend to be more cynical than women. Two guys I liked at one point accused me of sexual immorality when I never even considered sex around them. A third guy thought I was trying to date him because I was nice to him, when I was nice to him because I met him at church and the bible says to be extra polite to church contacts, it never crossed my mind to date him, but he thought my kindness was motivated by attraction when it was motivated by religion.

I personally don't think this take about your girlfriend makes sense. Everybody has something they will like in their partner and hers is having a good career which is not bad as she has a good career for herself. If she had no career it would have been questionable and don't generalize women because of your girlfriend
