What’s an acceptable/good age gap when dating? Especially when you’re around 26 turning 27 this year. What do you think 27 & 19? 27 & 21? 27 & 22? 27 & 23? 27 & 24?

To be honest, I feel creeped out by big age gaps when one of them is barely an adult... And their partner is in late 20s or even older than that.

Many 18 year olds are still kids. Mentally and emotionally. They're naive. They haven't seen the world yet. It makes me feel the older one is taking advantage of the younger one. So, to date someone as young as them would be wrong is how I feel. If they're in their 20s and you're let's say 7-8 years older? I wouldn't think that's creepy. I would think at least the younger one had enough life experience to know what's right and what isn't. That they're old enough to know what they want.

From 18 years old you are an adult whether you like it or not. They know what they are doing. If they want to have sex with someone, they are old enough for it. It barely turns into a relationship at that age, and there's nothing wrong with casual dating as long as the adult isn't an asshole.

By socially acceptable I mean what I perceive as accepted/acceptable by people around me, which is mostly a perception because people in the streets aren't commenting the matter, I'm just imagining them doing it in their minds.

Looking your age is basically what people tell you on the matter, if people regularly tell you that you look younger then, to me, you reasonably look younger. So if you look younger then people won't even bat an eye when they'll see you with someone, since they will be unable to see any age gap, that constitutes as de facto socially acceptable to me then.

As someone who already is 27 and will be 28 this year. I'd date someone else in there 20s rather an 18-19 year old. Even a 20 year I'd date. 30 and 31 I'd date a well. So I'd say all those are good age gaps apart from the 27 and 19.
