I think dating apps are helping me as much as they’re hurting?

I’ve been out of the dating game for pretty much my whole life. I’ve been working so hard just to get my money right and up to a livable place. So it was to the point, up until now basically, that I just didn’t feel like it was worth it to even try. Not to mention the prospects around here aren’t great to begin with.

However now that I’ve finally cleared some hurdles in my life, I’m using dating apps to see what’s out there, a bit beyond where I’m from and there are some really gorgeous women out there.

But as much as I try, I just end up feeling a bit “high and dry” from all of it. So much stimulation from these attractive women… they’ve really well optimized themselves in this modern society, with the make-up, the camera angles, pretty hair, clothing where their chests are half exposed, or bikini photos. As much as a man can’t complain, it’s almost becoming too much.

And I don’t even want to get started on the lofty expectations of women. I did some research recently, and I concluded, with salary, net worth, physical looks and attributes as included into the equation that I can, I’m probably within the top 5-10% of guys out there, but even that is not proving to mean much on the apps.

I’m making strides in person too, when I can get out to a place where there’s a bit more happening and where I can find more attractive people to interact with, but I can’t feasibly do that all the time.

I just find myself YEARNING for more at this point. Just one woman that takes the bait, that I’m not like, iffy on, half-interested. I don’t want to be partially interested. I want to be all in.
