I see most answers are leaning towards being fully divorced. That's okay. Explains why I got no dates during my separation period.

Wait until he's fully divorced.

Sometimes people start divorce proceedings and then end up going back together.

So it's better to wait until it's finalized.

Oh, believe me they'll date a separated man. Hell, many of them will date a married man.

The last woman I took interest in wanted to take me home. While her husband she was divorcing was still living there. I said, "f*** no". a lot of these women today have very low morals. And they wonder why so few men want to marry them. What kind of guy would want to to raise a family with THAT as a mother.
