I would say that if you’re already feeling like this then it’s just better to politely decline. When you’re feeling insecure about things like age gaps, heigh differences, weight differences, etc, then it’s usually hard getting out of the mindset. You will likely need reassurance on a regular basis, if not often. You’d have to go into it feeling confident and comfortable enough to just be with that person without overthinking certain aspects of it.


If your concerns are instead based off compatibility, like her being immature or having hugely different interests and/or mentalities because of the gap then you need to be very honest with yourself about that. Otherwise I’d imagine you’d butt heads, maybe you’d be irritated over how she’s handling something at her age or frustrated if there’s often moments where she acts like a kid. Of course none of that could be an issue, she could be very mature. I guess you’d just have to find out and be comfortable enough with the age gap to give it a shot.
