A life without experiencing love at all means you're always at point zero. When you experience love, you move up and down like a roller coaster. You get to experience highs and lows that you can't without experiencing it.

And just because it didn't work out with one person doesn't mean it can't work out with someone else. Closing yourself off entirely just because you had a bad experience is only detrimental to yourself.
