A 19-year gap often means one partner is in a, different phase, such as established career/post-retirement vs. just starting adult life, creating divergent priorities and lifestyles. A 19-year gap between a 25 and 44-year-old may feel different than one between a 19 and 38-year-old, due to the maturity difference between 19 and 25.

I would say so, but it also depends on how old the two people are. When I was in my twenties and thirties, even ten years was dicey, but now I'm married to a woman who is twenty years younger than me, and it doesn't seem difficult.

For who? You? Civil war era people who had 70 year olds marrying teenagers? That's entirely up to the two people involved. Who cares what anyone else thinks and if you label it a 'big' age gap or a regular age gap? It's an unnecessary description.

that's pretty much a quarter of most people's life...  two decades is a considerable and significant amount of life it is indeed a gap but you ask if it is big... "big" for what?

Mileage will depend on the couple but for most it would be too much. Often such marriages don't last long (from stats) but some do. Macron's wife is 24 years older and at this point their marriage is 20 years long.

@mdavila it is but depends on the ages of the people involved. I have lady 'friends' (not lovers) that have that much age difference with me. When younger I had women lovers that were that much older. Lots of different circumstances involved

Well let's put that in perspective. 19 years ago Lebron James was still with the original team that drafted him and was only a 4 year veteran of the NBA.😆 19 years ago the First IPhone was created.😆 19 years. Ago we still hadn't yet had a Black president.😆 19 years Ago Weinstein, Diddy and Cosby were all still free and up to their shenanigans (ok Cosby is free again).😆
