I usually don’t date people I work with, but I made an exception because I thought this guy was attractive. I gave him my number, and it took him three days to text me. Since then, every time we talk, he takes about a full day to respond. I’ll send a message, he replies the next day, I respond back, and then I don’t hear from him again until the following day.
What’s also confusing is that he said we should go on a date. When I asked what he wanted to do, he basically said anything I wanted was fine, so now it feels like I’m the one planning the entire date.
I’m starting to wonder if he’s actually interested or if he just took my number to be polite. Am I overthinking this and should I give it more time, or do his actions suggest he’s not that interested and I should move on?

It sounds like he may be generically interested but not enough to invest time into or prioritize you. Right now, it’s as if you’re the one chasing since you’ve been mainly pursuing him and moving this along from the start. If you didn’t contact him at all, do you think you’d heard from him consistently after? I don’t know.

If he is willing to talk to you, reply to texts, ask you in a date.. etc I'd say he's interested in you
