Have I made reconciliation impossible with my ex?

She gave me all the reasons she didn’t want to be with me. I told her I would change/improve. I tried to keep her. Even though I didn’t do anything fundamentally wrong.

In the end I told her I would appreciate if she never contacts me again. Then I removed her completely off of instagram. Not that we posted on there anyway.

It has been a month where I have never contacted her once nor has she contacted me.

Never change. They like you as is or nothing. Changing isn't something easily done. All you'll do is cause yourself to stress out about being good enough. This will cause resentment.

It's best to move on and find someone new.

Improve yes. A total deviation from your base personality, no. My ex wife wanted to turn me into someone I wasn't. I went into depression and alcoholism. Fortunately, I'm married to someone now who accepts me as I am.
