Is he ghosting me on his trip or am I just overthinking his silence?

I've been talking to this guy online, we're "seeing/dating" each other, as he says. So, he went on a trip recently and told me beforehand that he won't be replying. I said that's fine, cause who'd be on their phone the whole time on a trip. But I've basically sent him a message saying that i hope he's alright and having fun, which to he replied and then i sent another message saying I've been thinking about him and missing him and it's been more than 2 days now, he's been online in between a few times on this other app, but hasn't replied to my message. He was online half an hour ago on this other app. So, I'm like thinking you have time to go on that other app, but not reply to my message? It only takes a few seconds.. or am i overthinking?

Poor little me he hasn’t responded to me even though he already told me in the beginning he wasn’t going to respond. You casted your fishing line out there to see what would happen by texting him even though, again he said he wouldn’t be responding. But because he was nice enough to respond the first time, instead of taking an inch now you want a mike. Now he’s the bad person for not responding even though, let me say it again, he said he wasn’t going to respond? I would think if I was him that you’re the red flag. That you cousin’s even respect his boundaries as to what he said. Now you’re playing the victim. He’s on a trip let him enjoy himself. Even so again let him be. I’ve been w my wife for 18 years, I take solo trips sometimes especially during the summer cause she can’t stand the heat no matter where we go in the US. But she doesn’t text me w everyday. She says have fun, be safe. Yes I will text her but that’s cause I want to, not cause I feel obligated to like you’re making this man feel. Usually it’s because I’m sending her pics of my trip. Not only that when women say well how come he can’t just text back it takes less than a minute or less than 10 seconds. Because men know that when you text back women do exactly what you did. You text back again which leads to more text cause you women aren’t going to end the conversation. Right now you’re not in that position to feel entitled to him having to respond to you every single time. In 2-3 years ok maybe, you e out in that time. But right now. No. Back of before he walks. You sound annoying. I’d do the same if I was him.

He told you before the trip that he wouldn’t be replying much, and he has replied since leaving. Being online on another app doesn’t automatically mean he has time or wants to have a conversation.

It’s too early to call it ghosting. See what happens when he gets back. If he continues to ignore you then, that’s a different story. For now, I’d take him at his word and give him the space he asked for

What don't you understand about "I won't be replying"? Have you ever been on a real date with him or just dating "online"? If it's the latter, he may have more irons in the fire besides you that he would also need to reply to besides you.
