Is he ghosting me or I am overthinking?

I am dating a guy for months now. We are in LDR but chatting on messenger every day. Last week he went on vacation and conversation slowed down (understandable). For few days I was the one initiating chat (before that he initiated convos too). My last message was a photo of something that reminded me of him. He read it, but did not respond. I didn't double text him (I did that before and even though he did reply sometimes, I got tired of being the initiator). And now 4 days have passed without any communication between us (he still likes my posts on social media and is occasionally online).

Note: before this everything seemed to be fine. Normal conversations, missing each other, he even made plans with me for weeks ahead.

Is he ghosting me? Should I text him, asking if everything is ok? Should I leave him alone as he is having his vacation? Not sure what to think about whole thing as he stated many times to me he is not playing games and he never did that with anyone. But as he didn't reply to my last text and said nothing in 4 days, makes me think I might mistrusted him.

After almost 5 days of silence he reapperead. I ignored him for a bit. So he tripple texted me. I think he knew what was wrong. I was a bit distant and cold but through next couple of days we slowly got our communication back to usual tone & rhytm. He is getting back in upcoming days. We`ll see how it goes. I won't cross oceans for someone that doesn't want to even jump over a puddle for me.

Sounds like he might be. From my dating experience I have learned, never make excuses for not being prioritized. I am understanding when it comes to vacation or a busy time, but I def wouldn't excuse the guy not contacting me for four days, esp if he has access to the internet and is actively on social media. Leave him be and just be wary of him even if things pick back up. If he doesn't contact you again, good riddance and you will be happier w/a local guy who doesn't go days w/out contacting you.

Very good point and in line with my way of thinking. On the other hand i always give people a benefit of doubt. At least until I have all facts. In this case I am not sure if I will ever have then.

You have enough evidence that he doesn't prioritize you. I used to be the same way, always giving benefit of the doubt and not speaking out when I felt neglected. Now I have a lot less patience after getting walked all over. Make him chase you now, if he pulls back, you know he isn't interested.

I did not mean you, i meant the monitonity of everyday life. Now on vacation he is experiencing yet unknown things so it is absolutely nothing to worry about.

Ok, got it. Even though I have to admit I dont understand how you dont talk with your "girlfriend" while being on vacation (maybe because I am a woman and we usually think differently). I see that as a sign of "disinterest". If tables were turned I would probably message him every day, at least in the morning when waking up.
I would give a lot of money to see what is going on inside men`s head. :D

Well I would rather tell her about it in person. Chat and messeges just ti arrange meetings some small talk. What matters I chose to discuss when our eyes are synchronized. :)
