Why does anyone cheat? Usually it’s just pure selfishness, but there just truly isn’t any good excuse. Sorry you had this experience, and I hope this is just a moment of weakness in an otherwise successful healing process.
He did that because he was selfish and has zero respect for you. You can now start referring him as your ex boyfriend and block him immediately. Get rid of that loser.
