Most women care more about whether you are their type and genre than they do about how objectively attractive you might be to other people in your gender group. Like, I value guys with self control and rigid restrictions on how they process or act out their sexual impulses, so a guy who is good looking but sexually open, will 100% get rejected by me 100% of the time.

I had guys harass me because they thought they were better looking than me and they felt I insulted them by rejecting them, but I operate based on type and personal behavioural demand, not the objective status or appearance of the person and I would say most woman are similar to me. Women want men who can provide emotional stimulation, not men that have bare bones physical contour traits other men consider to be valuable.
